Welcome to our hiring journey !

Welcome to Scienta Lab's AI Research Scientist hiring process! We're excited that you're considering joining our team.

Our goal is to make this journey as smooth and enjoyable as possible for you, while assessing on our side if you could be a good fit for our team, technically and culturally. The goal is to spot and hire candidates that would thrive in Scienta Lab’s environment.

At the end of the process, you should have a good idea about what kind of job we perform at Scienta Lab, and met several people from the team. Don’t hesitate to ask questions to all people you meet.

In this guide we provide more details on how to prepare for each stage.

👋 Screening interview

The Screening interview is designed so that we get to know you and you get to know Scienta Lab, so there are no wrong answers here.

Just be yourself, think about what kind of adventure you want to live with your next position and what would be a good working environment for you.

On our end, we’ll introduce Scienta Lab and the specific role you are in process for. And we’ll ask about your current role, your job history and what you are looking for as a next step.

👩‍💻 👨‍💻 Coding homework

If we think you may be a fit for the position, first step of the technical process will be a Python homework to perform on your side.

This will introduce some biological notions and you will have the occasion to start manipulating some of the data we have at Scienta Lab.

You’ll have around a week to complete the homework, and a 1-hour interview with a Computational Biologist and an AI Research scientist to present your solution.

What we evaluate here: your capabilities to grasp and understand new data quickly, code a prototype with clean and readable Python code and have a critical thinking about your solution and its limitations.

📄 AI paper interview

The AI paper interview is an opportunity for us to dive deeper into your understanding of AI concepts and research. Here's what you can expect:
